No Sorry, Taxing the Rich Won’t Solve the Problem

Good editorial from WSJ. Taxing the rich won’t solve the deficit/debt crisis. And besides, just how much do you want a person to pay before it crosses into immoral ranges?

The fix. Flat Tax please. The best way to make middle and lower class citizens care about politics more is to make sure they are “paying THEIR fair share” (which they don’t today).

I do like the idea of a flat tax with no deductions, just a straight gross income, this is your tax, this is how much you have paid in already, this is your refund or what you need to pay. Too simple, but it solves the issue of who is paying what percentage of their income instead of being able to game the system whether they are rich or poor, whether they are a corporate entity or individual.

Nevah gonna happen though to many on both sides of the fence like it just the way it is.
